Hi, I’m Den Lennie and I set up F-Stop Academy in 2009 to help budding and experienced film-makers alike develop their skills, unleash their talents and even build a business.

F-Stop Academy is an online film school unlike any other. It’s different because:

  • As a student, you’ll not only receive the professional training you’d expect from full time film school but also one-to-one mentoring, guidance and feedback too.
  • Instead of signing up for a year in advance, you can choose to pay by the month to opt into courses as and when you want.
  • You can also attend workshops in person or buy inspiring DVDs to learn from at home.

I’ve worked with broadcasters, production companies and top film-makers from all over the world as lighting cameraman, DOP, producer and director. A Royal Television Society award-winner, my work has included documentaries, travel programmes, MTV and Mobo award ceremonies and have filmed celebrities such as Tom Cruise, Ewan McGregor, U2, Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams and Christina Aguilera.
