Do You ever feel like your knowledge only carries you so far?  Ever feel that you are flying by the seat of your pants?   No matter how studious you are, there’s just no way of knowing if you are doing it right or not?

If you are an achiever and if you’re at all like me, you are always looking for the edge, always looking to make sure you know everything you need to enable you to maximise your effectiveness and fulfillment, both as a creative person and as a Film Maker. If that’s you, I have some very important information for you.

In October, I am presenting an incredible one time opportunity for you to immerse yourself in a tightly focused group of like minded creative individuals.

I’ve created a unique immersive program for a limited number of Film Makers and Photographers, who want to master this material at the deepest level.

‘Music Video Masterclass 2011’ is a four day interactive production intensive which promises to be an extraordinary experience for those who choose to apply.

What is the Music Video Masterclass 2011?

This unique program offers you a Blueprint for how to replicate ‘Music Video Production Techniques ‘. There are ‘trade secrets’ that are rarely shared outside of the professional film making world  – you can duplicate these principles in your own work straight away and demonstrate a radically different approach from the norm.

You don’t need me to tell you how integral budgets are to your Film Making. Planning is everything. More specifically, mastering the process, tools, budgets and learning how to duplicate the ’35mm Cinema look’, understanding how to make a little budget go a long way and duplicate high production value, is the key to both artistic freedom – and personal creative satisfaction.

I will be joined on this unique program by a music video producer/Director and owner of Hangman Studios – James Tonkin

Here’s what you will discover on this 4 day, Unique Program:

  • How the four components of production work together to bring your creative ideas to reality, on screen.
  • How to duplicate the One Day production shoot effectively without compromising the concept.
  • How to deal with the multitude of on set and crewing decisions.
  • An opportunity to try out Pro tools like Steadicam, Sony Super 35mm and Da Vinci Resolve.
  • The practical techniques of lighting excellence – How to dramatically improve your films results while using inexpensive lighting tools.
  • How to deal with multiple camera positions and multiple performers in a scene.
  • The Power to Replicate – How to replicate high production value quickly and effectively.
  • Creating a mood in your scenes – How to use in-camera settings and lighting effects to dramatically affect the mood of a scene – in seconds.
  • How to improve your key professional and on set relationships by understanding how to work with professional crew and directors on set.
  • The essential link between Production Lighting and the Colour Grade.
  • The DOP Mindset – why you need to think radically differently from the norm to create great Lighting …….. and much, much more.
  • Be an active part of the entire process and come away with a music video that you can use on your showreel or website to promote you as a film maker, and show what your business is capable of offering to existing or potential clients.
  • PLUS find out what it’s really like to manage artists and be right in the heart of the music business, take part in a bonus session with one of the most experienced managers in the business – David Enthoven, Managing Director of ie:music.
